Renoir, At the Inn of Mother Anthony, Marlotte, 1866. National Museum, Stockholm.

"I met Bazille, Sisley, and Monet there. They were disgusted too, so we left the academy and painted outdoors in the Forest of Fontainebleau. I painted a rustic inn in Marlotte, Mère Anthony's, with Monet, Sisley and Le Coeur posing around a table. The waitress and Mère Anthony too. That was my first step here, to this painting."
